34 HARE O'glyphics
I was delighted to be asked to paint the Haslemere Hare and I felt honoured that it was for the Museum, having exhibited their last year.
I was given the hare with the title 'Hareoglyphics' (a great pun and very apt considering the Museum's Egyptian display) and it sat unpainted but patiently in my studio while I went through Cleopatra's wardrobe.
Although very different to my normal style, I thoroughly enjoyed the challenging of painting her and we became firm friends until I bid her 'harewell'
